Why is my AI generation taking long?
Why some generations take 10+ seconds and how to speed them up.

Most AI generations complete in 3-8 seconds. If yours is taking longer, here's why and what to do.
Common causes
- Long inputs (description over 500 words): AI takes longer to process. Trim to essentials.
- Peak hours (US evenings UTC -5 to -8): brief queueing. Usually adds 2-5 seconds.
- Provider hiccup: rarely, our primary model (Gemini) has a brief slowdown. We auto-fall-back to Groq Llama 3 70B, which adds 5-10 seconds.
- Network: check your internet — if your latency to listomize.com is high, the API calls take longer.
If it's stuck for more than 30 seconds
- Refresh the page — your input is auto-saved as a draft
- Try again — temporary provider issues usually clear in 30-60 seconds
- Check status page (coming soon) for live incidents

Speed tip: shorter, focused prompts run faster. 'silver necklace, dainty, gift' beats a 200-word paragraph.
